Have you ever considered working with a staffing agency before? Have you ever worked with a staffing agency but had a negative experience?

Here at Messina Group, we understand that successful placement is a two-way street, and strive to prioritize the needs of our employees above all else. In order to show you what it's really like to work with our organization, here's a glimpse into one of our employee success stories featuring Jasmin D. - a first-time mom looking to re-enter the workforce after taking some time off.

What is your current employment status?
I currently work at as a Quality Control Technician at Vita Food Products. I found this position through Messina Group's LabTemps division and have been here ever since.

Did the position you secured align with your career goals?
Yes - definitely. The recruiters I worked with at Messina knew my past experience was focused in the food industry and understood that I wanted continue to build upon my previous experience, so the positions they presented me with were always in line with that.

How did you first start working with Messina Group?
Well, I’m a first time mom and started working with Messina after staying home with my son for about a year and a half. I found it extremely difficult to jump back into the workforce after taking that much time off, until I was contacted by Messina’s recruiters after applying to one of their open positions. The recruiters I worked with understood the situation I was in with my son, and were consistently passing along positions that both furthered my career goals and worked with my changing schedule.

What did you like most about working with the Recruiters at Messina Group?
I really enjoyed their transparency. I’ve worked with a lot of recruiters in the past whose primary goal is to fill the position they’re working on even if my experience isn't the right fit. What I loved about Messina’s recruiting team was that they were primarily focused on what I was looking for, even if it meant that they weren't going to fill their assigned position. They cared about my interests, and our conversations were very personal which made this whole experience really positive for me.

How has your experience with Messina Group differed from other agencies you’ve worked with?
After I had been working with Messina for a little while, one of their recruiters contacted me to see if I was interested in a new position they just got in. A week after submitting my resume for the position, I reached out to the recruiter to see if there was any feedback from the client. Rather than just speaking with the client over the phone about my experience, she informed me that she was actually going to an in-person meeting with the client to discuss my resume. I’m not sure if the sole intention of the meeting was to discuss my resume, but hearing that she was willing to go the extra mile to get me a job was something that no other recruiter had done and made me smile from ear to ear.
